In this presentation you will explore visual strategies and the benefits to using them. We will introduce you to routine building, transitions and communication with the supports of visuals. You will enjoy opportunities to work hands on with visuals and discover how immediate the rewards to using them can be.

Taming the Behavior Beast:

Behaviors have become a major concern in the classroom. How can we tame the “behavior beast”? You will learn how to use visual strategies to support your classroom and create a calm effective learning environment. We will guide you through a typical day of easy to use strategies that can tame even the biggest behavior beast!

Circle to Centre:

We help you extend literacy and learning from circle time into your centre time activities. Join us to create your very own exciting extension activity book. You will learn how to promote an interest in literacy and a love of learning in your classroom.

There is a materials charge of $15 per participant.

Calming Center:

This workshop helps navigate you and your students through emotions. It incorporates fun and engaging visual and behavioral strategies. You will “make and take” a very effective centre containing occupational therapy approved activities for emotional regulation. Come and get a plan to guide and channel emotions in your classroom.
